I will always be grateful for my first editor, Ron. Politically independent and a Vietnam veteran, Ron spoke like Clint Eastwood and rarely cracked a smile. However, he had a heart of gold.

 

Ron believed in my work and gave me my first major break, leading to my first nationally published cartoons. My time at The Telegraph was an extraordinary experience and marked the beginning of my professional career.
