Cathy Ferrell
Branding an Artist
Cathy Ferrell is a nationally recognized artist whose primary medium is sculpture, although her creative work extends far beyond any single discipline. I was honored to help her develop a new identity and website. She is not only an extraordinary artist, but also my stepmother.
The logo was inspired by the physical presence of Cathy’s sculpture. Her first name rises like a sculptural form, while her last name provides a strong visual base. Throughout the identity, her artwork remains the focus.
Because Cathy is an extraordinary sculptor, her artwork needed to remain at the forefront of every promotional piece.
